BJJ: AN ADULTS PLAYGROUND
Have fun. It's all just a game anyway. Embrace the suck, enjoy the process and you'll get better at it
IT'S NEVER THE WRONG TIME...
Why did I start training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu?
Coming from a striking background, I was always confident in my ability to defend myself. When sparring with my cousin who trained BJJ back in Christmas 2018, I found out that confidence meant very little. I started because I had to find out why and stayed because I loved every stinking minute of it.

You know very quickly whether this is or isn't the sport for you . People start inside your personal space from day one. Doing so provides a closeness that, in my opinion, helps keep the fraternal feeling when slapping hands and bumping fists before simulating murder...

Why do I want to keep going?
To get better. Learn, improve, adapt. BJJ is a release. For me, it's a way to be social, play, have fun, see friends and physically exert myself while learning a useful skill. The better question would be, why does anyone stop?
